Information You Submit
Names, telephone numbers, and addresses entered in a search form are sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Gallatin Residents Directory does not keep a separate copy of those searches. If you email us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Like most hosted sites, the service may retain routine logs, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time of access. We review this in aggregate for operations and page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Data Is Used
We use limited information to operate and secure the reference, resolve problems, measure aggregate traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Outside Websites
Links may lead to Tennessee or Sumner County portals, archive collections, libraries, and third-party search services. The privacy policy of the destination governs information submitted there, including information entered through sponsored results.
Data Recipients
Hosting and support providers may process logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising providers can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or otherwise permitted by law.
Security and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operating purposes described here. Because there are no accounts, Gallatin Residents Directory does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor provided information, and we will remove what we find.
Your Data Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data that a website retains. Tennessee’s public-record rules, including the Tennessee Public Records Act, govern records held by government custodians, not this private reference. Because we keep very little, a request generally involves reviewing our contact mailbox and logs, then removing applicable information. Use the Contact page to ask. Requests to remove a government record must go to its Tennessee, Sumner County, or Gallatin custodian.
Policy Changes
Revisions will appear here. Continuing to use Gallatin Residents Directory after a posted change means you accept the updated policy.
